# Peptides that Should Not Be Used with BAC Water

Bacteriostatic water (BAC water) contains 0.9% benzyl alcohol as a preservative. While BAC water is commonly used for reconstituting peptides, there are some peptides that should NOT be reconstituted with BAC water due to potential adverse reactions with benzyl alcohol.

## Peptides to Reconstitute with Sterile Water (NOT BAC Water)

| Peptide | Reason | Use Instead |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Oxytocin | Benzyl alcohol can alter receptor binding and reduce efficacy | Sterile water or saline |
| Desmopressin (DDAVP) | Stability concerns with benzyl alcohol preservatives | Sterile water |
| Vasopressin | Potential interaction affecting potency | Sterile water or saline |
| hCG (Human Chorionic Gonadotropin) | Commercial preparations typically use bacteriostatic NaCl | Bacteriostatic saline |
| GLP-1 Analogs (Semaglutide, Liraglutide) | Complex formulation requirements | Sterile water per manufacturer specs |

Always consult specific product information and stability data to determine the best reconstitution method for each peptide. When in doubt, contact your Dripdok healthcare provider for guidance.
